Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Satuh IT Courses, we are committed to providing high-quality education and ensuring student satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be granted and the procedures for requesting them.

This policy applies to all courses, programs, and services offered by Satuh IT Courses and should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions.

2. Cooling-Off Period

2.1 7-Day Full Refund

All students have a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of enrollment during which they may withdraw from any course and receive a full refund of tuition fees paid.

During this period, students may:

  • Attend orientation sessions and introductory classes
  • Access course materials and learning platform
  • Meet with instructors and career advisors
  • Evaluate if the program meets their expectations

Note: The cooling-off period begins on the enrollment date, not the course start date.

2.2 No Questions Asked

During the cooling-off period, no reason is required for withdrawal, and refunds will be processed automatically upon request.

3. Course-Specific Refund Policies

3.1 Full-Time Intensive Programs (3-6 months)

  • Before course start: 100% refund minus $200 CAD processing fee
  • Week 1: 90% refund
  • Week 2: 75% refund
  • Week 3-4: 50% refund
  • After 4 weeks: No refund (exceptions may apply)

3.2 Part-Time Programs (6-12 months)

  • Before course start: 100% refund minus $150 CAD processing fee
  • First 10% of program: 85% refund
  • First 25% of program: 60% refund
  • First 50% of program: 30% refund
  • After 50% completion: No refund

3.3 Weekend Bootcamps (1-4 weeks)

  • 7+ days before start: 100% refund minus $50 CAD processing fee
  • 3-6 days before start: 75% refund
  • 1-2 days before start: 50% refund
  • Day of start or after: 25% refund (first day only)
  • After first day: No refund

3.4 Individual Courses and Workshops

  • 24+ hours before start: 100% refund
  • Less than 24 hours: 50% refund
  • No-show: No refund

3.5 Corporate Training Programs

Corporate training programs have customized refund policies outlined in individual contracts. Generally:

  • 30+ days before start: 90% refund
  • 15-29 days before start: 75% refund
  • 7-14 days before start: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days: 25% refund

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Medical Emergencies

Students who must withdraw due to serious medical emergencies may be eligible for:

  • Full or partial refund regardless of completion percentage
  • Course deferral to a future session
  • Extended payment plans for remaining balance

Required documentation: Medical certificate from licensed healthcare provider confirming inability to continue studies.

4.2 Military Deployment

Active military personnel called to duty may receive:

  • Full refund of unused portion of tuition
  • Guaranteed seat in next available session
  • Extended enrollment validity (up to 24 months)

Required documentation: Official deployment orders.

4.3 Employment-Related Relocation

Students required to relocate more than 100km away may be eligible for:

  • Transfer to online delivery format (if available)
  • Partial refund of unused tuition
  • Deferral to future session in new location

Required documentation: Employment letter or transfer notice.

4.4 Course Cancellation by Satuh

If we cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment or other reasons:

  • 100% refund of all fees paid
  • Priority enrollment in alternative courses
  • Compensation for any non-refundable expenses incurred
  • Alternative course options at discounted rates

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Application and enrollment processing fees
  • Technology setup and platform access fees
  • Textbooks and learning materials once accessed/downloaded
  • Certification exam fees paid to third parties
  • Career services and job placement assistance
  • Equipment and software licenses provided
  • One-on-one mentoring sessions already conducted

6. Refund Request Process

6.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, students must:

  1. Complete the official Refund Request Form
  2. Provide supporting documentation (if applicable)
  3. Submit request via email to [email protected]
  4. Include student ID and course enrollment details

6.2 Required Information

All refund requests must include:

  • Full name and student ID number
  • Course name and enrollment date
  • Reason for withdrawal
  • Original payment method details
  • Contact information for follow-up

6.3 Processing Timeline

  • Acknowledgment: Within 2 business days
  • Review and decision: Within 5-10 business days
  • Refund processing: Within 10-15 business days after approval
  • Receipt of funds: 3-5 business days (depending on payment method)

6.4 Communication

Students will receive:

  • Email confirmation of refund request receipt
  • Status updates during the review process
  • Formal decision notification with explanation
  • Refund confirmation with transaction details

7. Payment Method Considerations

7.1 Credit Card Payments

Refunds to credit cards will be processed to the original payment method. Funds typically appear within 3-5 business days, though some financial institutions may take longer.

7.2 Bank Transfer Payments

Refunds will be issued via electronic transfer to the original bank account. Processing may take 5-7 business days.

7.3 Financing and Payment Plans

For students using financing options:

  • Refunds are calculated on amounts actually paid
  • Financing agreements may continue for processed payments
  • Students remain responsible for any outstanding balances
  • Third-party financing terms apply

7.4 Third-Party Payments

Payments made by employers, government agencies, or other third parties will be refunded to the original payer unless written authorization is provided to redirect funds.

8. Appeal Process

8.1 Right to Appeal

Students who disagree with a refund decision may appeal within 30 days of the decision date.

8.2 Appeal Procedure

  3. Provide additional supporting documentation
  4. Clearly state grounds for appeal

8.3 Appeal Review

  • Appeals are reviewed by senior management
  • Review completed within 15 business days
  • Decision is final and binding

9. Course Transfers and Deferrals

9.1 Course Transfers

Students may request to transfer to a different course subject to:

  • Availability in the requested course
  • Meeting prerequisite requirements
  • Payment of any price difference
  • Transfer fee of $100 CAD

9.2 Course Deferrals

Students may defer enrollment to a future session:

  • Up to 12 months from original start date
  • Subject to course availability
  • One-time deferral fee of $150 CAD
  • Price protection for 6 months

10. International Students

10.1 Study Permit Considerations

International students should be aware that course withdrawal may affect:

  • Study permit validity and status
  • Immigration compliance requirements
  • Future visa applications
  • Tax implications in home country

10.2 Additional Documentation

International students may need to provide:

  • Study permit and visa documentation
  • Immigration status verification
  • Banking information for international transfers
  • Tax identification numbers

11. Exceptions and Limitations

11.1 Academic Misconduct

Students dismissed for academic misconduct, cheating, or violation of the Student Code of Conduct are not eligible for refunds.

11.2 Attendance Requirements

Students who fail to meet minimum attendance requirements (80% for most programs) may forfeit refund eligibility.

11.3 Technology Requirements

Inability to meet minimum technology requirements does not qualify for refunds after the cooling-off period, as requirements are clearly stated before enrollment.
